Neil Hightower, 48 of Sugarland, TX went to be with our Lord on 22 December at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center after a two and one-half year battle with Leukemia. He was born on 12 December 1946 in Neosho, MO. He served in the United States Marine Corps and attended the United States Naval Academy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Willis and Helen Hightower.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rene Hightower of Sugar Land, TX; her daughter Angela Dawn Hightower of Washington, D.C.; a son Neil Hightower II of San Diego, CA; and a sister Carol Shelley of Oregon.
Pallbearers are Rod Palmer, Mel Moncrief, Bob Vacek, Jerry Russell, Bruce Donaldson, and J.D. Smith.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 24 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. (FM 2218 & Highway 59), Rosenberg, TX with internment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Reverend Steve Thorney will officiate the services.
